Dr Oisin O’Conchubhair

Oisin O’Conchubhair is the Technical Operations Engineer at Platinum Tanks Ltd. He is responsible for implementing new production techniques, monitoring raw material quality and designing new products.

Oisin has experience in computer aided design for simulation. His research experience has involved electromagnetic simulation for antenna design and fluid structure interaction for the renewable sector. He received his PhD in 2015 for his work on the integration of antennas and solar cells.

He joined the company in 2016 as part of an Intertrade Ireland Fusion Programme in partnership with the Polymer Processing Research Centre at Queen’s University Belfast. He has worked closely with the PPRC to introduce new production techniques, thermal analysis of product formation and computer aided design to simulate new product performance.
